HOW DOES THis journey catalyze BIOREGIONAL ORGANIZING TEAMS?

Trust through Deep Listening

Scaffolding Healthy Ecosystems

Scaffolding Healthy Ecosystems

Each team begins by naming what’s already alive - the stories of place, the threads of trust, the griefs and gifts that shape the land. All in right time.

This slow, relational process builds trust and coherence from the beginning, allowing participants to hear each other - and the land - beyond roles or agendas.

This grounding allows teams not just to map their bioregions, but can open them up to map internal landscapes - surfacing what must be healed, reclaimed, and transformed for systemic change to take root.

From that center, we walk together - not to accelerate outcomes, but to deepen coherence.

Unlearning from the old crumbling system is part of the journey to relearn new ways of looking at economics and governance.

Through facilitated listening, mapping, governance prototyping, and regenerative finance design, teams gradually weave a living ecosystem of care, sovereignty, and action.

This journey is structured around three-month learning cycles, designed to support emergent growth while offering regular opportunities to reflect on progress, relational health, and evolving needs - ensuring the journey remains adaptive and rooted in lived experience.

At every step, teams are met where they are - honoring their place, culture, and readiness - while being gently scaffolded into a larger ecosystem of action, learning, and trust.

Story Mapping

Scaffolding Healthy Ecosystems

Governance Prototyping

Through participatory story-mapping, teams chart their bioregion through natural and cultural realities-mapping watersheds, habitats, Indigenous territories, regenerative projects, and community networks.

This place-based mapping surfaces the true living systems of the bioregion, beyond political borders, revealing assets to build upon, vulnerabilities to address, and the interwoven relationships essential for regenerative governance, capital strategies, and collective stewardship.

Governance Prototyping

Governance Prototyping

Teams experiment with participatory governance models-such as sociocracy, Indigenous-informed councils, or other culturally-rooted approaches-tailored to their specific bioregional context.

Through facilitated design sessions, teams co-create shared agreements, decision-making practices, and stewardship circles that embody relational integrity, resilience, and collective sovereignty, forming the living architecture needed to sustain regenerative collaboration over time.

ThePivot will steward the mycelial-like flows of information, resources, and relationships.

Unlearning Traditional Economics

Teams learn to weave grants, community investment, flow funding, and place-based finance into an integrated regenerative capital model that supports long-term bioregional thriving.

Teams are introduced to regenerative finance concepts - such as mutual credit, flow funds, and commons-based economies - to begin unlearning conventional extractive economic thinking and prepare for operating within new financial systems aligned with living systems principles.

Along the way, teams gain access to aligned capital partners and receive personalized support in funding readiness, ensuring their financial strategies are relational, resilient, and rooted in the ecological and cultural realities of their bioregion.

Healing and conflict transformation practices are woven throughout the Journey, recognizing that regenerative systems change is as much about relational repair as structural design.

Teams are supported in navigating power dynamics, building reciprocity and consent, and centering collective care and cultural safety - creating the emotional resilience and trust needed to sustain long-term collaboration and bioregional regeneration.
